ChoreoJam is an ongoing event hosted by Bridge & Olive Dance that brings movers and shakers and music makers together. It is a forum for emerging and mid career artists to workshop material as well as explore and express creatively through improvisation and musical collaboration–WITH LIVE MUSIC!!! The evening consists of two sections that bring us from sitting, seeing, and speaking, to moving, grooving, and exploring. During the first section, participants are invited to show “in process” choreography to the group. Following each work, we will dive into feedback and discussion–a process facilitated by the choreogrpaher so that they get the informaiton they need. The second section is centered around improvisation and collaborative expression that incorporates live music, dance, and other art forms. This improv jam is designed to create a body dialogue between a new network of artists. It is a way for you to feel free and explore. A way to translate what you experienced in the first section into dynamic action and expression.
